Ready for Spring!

Here at MWGM we are getting ready for the grass cutting season. Within the next few weeks these shiny new additions will be put to work on our clients’ sites. Ensuring that we always use the best quality equipment helps us to deliver superior results.

Contract win!

Following a competitive tendering exercise, we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a contract with Haig Housing maintaining the grounds at 12 of their sites in Herts, Berks, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

Haig Housing has over 1500 properties throughout the UK and provides housing assistance to ex-Service people and/or their dependents.

Fundraising whilst Tree-cycling!

Last weekend we helped local charity, Isabel Hospice, raise much needed funds by way of a Christmas Tree Recycling event. An enthusiastic team of MWGM volunteers collected Christmas trees from around the local neighbourhood (in return for a donation) and transported them to a local farm where they were chipped and recycled.

Together with other local businesses, we collected in excess of 850 trees, raising £15,304! This fantastic amount will go towards paying for over 600 hours of specialist palliative care at Isabel Hospice’s in-patient unit.

We were delighted to help this charity especially as the current pandemic has had a huge impact on their fundraising activities during the past year. We will also be donating the money we saved by sending our Christmas cards electronically to this worthy cause.

A great start to 2021!

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a place on ESPO Framework 245 to supply Grounds Maintenance services.

For 40 years, ESPO has been providing a wide range of goods and services to the public sector. This award will now provide their 200,000 customers in Education, Local Authority and Government, NHS & Emergency Services, Charities and Housing Associations, quick and easy access to our Grounds Maintenance Services via this framework.

Another win!

Following a competitive tendering exercise, we are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust gritting contract for 40 of their sites across Essex ensuring they remain safe and accessible throughout the winter.

Success!

Following a recent tender submission, we have been appointed as a supplier of Grounds Maintenance for a framework agreement on behalf of Crescent Purchasing Consortium.

Education establishments and museums across the East of England, East Midlands, London, and the South East will have access to our services via this framework agreement.

Preferred Supplier!

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in being appointed as a supplier of Grounds Maintenance to NHS Shared Business Services in the South East, London, Eastern England and East Midlands for the next two years.

Our services are now quickly and easily available to all public sector organisations via a compliant framework agreement from NHS Shared Business Services which is great news.

Covid-19 Safe Methods of Working

At the beginning of the pandemic we adapted our working procedures to ensure we met all guidelines to limit the risk of infection for staff and clients.

We have now formalised these working procedures into several documents for clients, site staff, members of the public, and other contractors to review.

Please see our Covid-19 Safe Method of Working document here

Please see our Office and Workplace Risk Assessment here

Please see our Operational Risk Assessment here.

These documents will be amended as necessary based on new/amended government guidance and from experience maintaining sites.
