Supporting our NHS

MWGM are proud to be working to support our NHS through the current COVID-19 pandemic.

NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients. To show our respect and gratitude we are donating £250 to NHS Charities Together. This national campaign, endorsed by NHS England, acknowledges and supports all NHS staff and volunteers who are looking after those affected by coronavirus.

Preparing for schools to reopen

We have been busy getting schools ready for students to return….these athletic tracks are ready for action!

COVID-19

We don’t just cut grass!

Thanks to our multi skilled workforce, we undertake many projects for our clients alongside regular grounds maintenance. Over the last couple of months we have seen our service teams construct raised flower beds, fencing, returfing and planting projects to name just a few.

Another win!

MWGM have been successful in winning the ground maintenance contract for Hightown Housing for another 5 years commencing March 2020.
MWGM has worked for Hightown Housing since 2016 and during the previous contract term the number of sites has increased by approximately 35%. We now provide ground maintenance services for 94 of their residential sites across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with the potential of more sites as Hightown Housing works towards their aim of increasing their site stock by another 30% over the coming contract term.

A great start to the new year!

Following a competitive tendering exercise at the end of 2019, MWGM have been successful in winning a grounds maintenance contract with the East of England Ambulance Service Trust.

MWGM has worked for the Trust since 2014 and over the years the number of sites we maintain has steadily increased. The new contract is to maintain all 73 EEAST sites across Herts, Beds, Cambs, Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex for 5 years commencing March 2020.

Shrub removal made easy!

Our telehandler has already proven it’s worth at our main depot since taking delivery of it several months ago. Yesterday, it had its first outing to assist our operatives who were clearing an overgrown shrub at a local residential site. And it didn’t disappoint!

The Jasmine had not been maintained and was so out of control it had become a site hazard. By putting the telehandler to work it reduced the man hours by a day and eliminated our operatives working at height.

Our client was delighted with the work carried out…another satisfied customer!

New year, new van!

This week we have welcomed a new addition to our fleet. We took delivery of a brand new tipper van. It is a little bigger than our existing tippers and has front and rear cameras. Once sign written and kitted out it will then be put to work delivering our services to our clients and meeting the demands of our busy schedules.

Defending ourselves against Cybercrime

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved accreditation for Cyber Essentials.

Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats.

The accreditation confirms that our ICT defences have been assessed as satisfactory against a commodity based cyber-attack and also demonstrates our commitment to data protection and cyber security.

With Cyber Crime on the increase this is reassuring to know that we are protected from the most common attacks.
